Trang An Securities officially listed 13.9 million shares on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange on Monday, after several months of trading on the public companies market (UPCoM).
The company, with the share code of TAS, became the eighth securities broker to list on the Ha Noi bourse. During the first day of trading, TAS shares closed off VND16,400 (8.6 US cent) from the offering price of VND18,000, on a volume of 269,100 shares.
The listing helped raise the overall market listing volume in the northern bourse to 3.75 billion shares, worth VND37.5 trillion (About US$2 million).
Trang An Securities, founded in 2006, is now in top of broker houses earning highest turnover from brokerage. Last year, the company achieved a turnover of more than VND30 billion ($1.6 million) from brokerage services.
Currently, institutional investors hold 30.17 percent of the company's equity value while individuals hold the remainder. The company provides securities services such as brokering and financial consultation and has a licence for institutional trading.
This year, the firm expects to generate VND60 billion in turnover and VND35 billion in pretax profit. Dividend payments are scheduled at 10 percent.
The Ha Noi Stock Exchange will see new listings by securities firms in the coming time, with VNDirect Securities already filed documents to list on the bourse. The company will list all of its equity value of VND450 billion ($23.7 million), equivalent to 45 million shares.
Earlier this month, VNDirect Securities finalised raising its charter capital from VND300 ($15.7 million) to VND450 billion, of which individuals hold 66.79 percent while the remaining stakes belong to institutions.
PetroVietnam Securities' shareholders also approved the listing plan in the northern market this year.
